DISTILLERS ONE OF ONE AUCTION
Distillers One of One is an auction, hosted by the Worshipful company of distillers. The aim of this auction is to help make positive changes and to shape young peoples lives in Scotland through raising money. 2021 saw a huge success and this year is the second auction that has been in operation. Raising £2.25 million in total, this has seen great success in helping raise money for these amazing charities. Distillers One of One auction was held at the beautiful Hopetoun House, one of Scotland’s finest stately homes, situated in West Lothian, with an expanse of 6,500 acres - a stunning location for such an event to be held.
Partnering with Sotheby’s, the auction showcases one-off, never seen before collections of rare and unique whiskies, giving people the chance to get their hands on whiskies, casks or collections that are entirely unique and will never be seen again in the future. With a large amount raised this year, the entire amount raised will go toward the distillers charity, with 90% allocated toward The Youth Action Fund and 10% to support The Distillers Charity’s general charitable purposes.
MORRISON SCOTCH WHISKY DISTILLERS LOT
We are proud to present this unique collection of 3 exceptional whiskies from iconic distilleries, Bowmore, Dalmore and Macallan, all distilled in 1990. Taken from our rare and extensive cask inventory, the 3 bottles perfectly embody the distilleries’ essence.
Each whisky is presented with a Glencairn traditional crystal decanter with bespoke copper engraving. They are housed within a specially crafted and engraved natural oak display case, featuring a built-in drawer with travel decanter stoppers, and a personally signed letter from Brian Morrison, with further details on the distilleries.
The full collection sold for a grand total of £21,250, raising a significant amount for charity.
